Privacy & Your Data

Birth details (date, time, place, name), used to compute your kundli; the reading is cast from them. Session content, what you and the guru say during a live session, processed in real time to hold the conversation. Session memory, a short written summary (≈200 words) a guru keeps so your next session continues where you left off, stored against an anonymous device identifier, not your name. Payment references, order and payment IDs from Stripe/Razorpay; we never see or store card numbers or UPI PINs. Basic technical data, country (for currency), device/browser type, and service logs.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your birth details or conversations for advertising. We do not cold-call or push fear-based upsells. We do not publish session recordings.

Trusted processors run parts of the service under contract: LiveKit (real-time audio/video), Anam (avatar rendering), Sarvam AI (speech recognition & speech synthesis), our LLM provider (conversation intelligence), Vercel (hosting), and Stripe/Razorpay (payments). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function. Some processors operate outside India; we transfer only what the session requires.

Birth details and session memory: until you delete them or ask us to. Service logs: up to 90 days. Payment records: as required by tax and payment regulations. When you request deletion we remove birth details and memory within 30 days, except records law requires us to retain.

You may ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it erased, write to support@astrolagnam.app. Under the DPDP Act you may also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you and complain to the Data Protection Board of India; EU/UK users have the corresponding GDPR rights.

AstroLagnam is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process a minor's data without verifiable parental consent; if you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete the data.

Sessions run over encrypted connections (TLS/WebRTC); secrets and stored data are kept in managed, access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, if a breach ever affects your data we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
